Marc Hood

Associate / Atlanta

Marc Hood is an associate in our Atlanta office who focuses on civil litigation defense with an emphasis on motor carrier liability, general liability, premises liability,  and commercial insurance coverage. He has experience defending personal injury and commercial liability claims. Marc is also experienced in advising insurance companies on insurance coverage questions in both the areas of commercial liability and automotive insurance. He has represented individuals, small businesses and Fortune 500 corporations in a range of civil actions.

An Atlanta native, Marc earned his Bachelor of Science as Georgia State University in 2000. From there, Marc became an educator in the metro-Atlanta area. He left education in 2008 when he went back to Georgia State University to pursue his Juris Doctorate. While attending evening classes at GSU, Marc worked full time in the DeKalb County Juvenile Court advocating for children in the foster care system.

At GSU, Marc was an active member of the International and Comparative Law Society, Black Law Student Association, Gate City Bar and the Student Trial Lawyers Association. In 2009, Marc participated in the Jessup International Moot Court Competition, one of the nation’s oldest and largest moot court competitions. Marc was also a successful mock trial attorney leading his teams to the final round of the William W. Daniel Mock Trial Competition and to the regional quarter-finals of the National Trial Competition.

Marc is currently an active member of the Atlanta Bar Association, Gate City Bar, George Defense Lawyers and the Defense Research Institute.
