M. Elizabeth Googe

M. Elizabeth Googe is an Associate in the Atlanta office of Carlock, Copeland & Stair, LLP. Her litigation practice is concentrated in general liability defense, including premises liability, automobile liability, insurance coverage issues, and trucking and transportation litigation. Prior to joining Carlock Copeland, Elizabeth was an attorney with a litigation firm in Atlanta, where she concentrated in multiple areas of insurance defense, including general liability and workers’ compensation.
She received her J.D., cum laude, from the University of Georgia School of Law in 2012. She was the recipient of the Wellborn B. Cody Scholarship for academic achievement, a member of the Student Bar Association, and a member of the Health Law Society. She also served on the Editorial Board and was an Articles Editor for the Georgia Journal of International and Comparative Law. During law school, Elizabeth was an intern for United States District Court for the Eastern District of Tennessee magistrate judges Bruce Guyton and Clifford Shirley. Elizabeth received her B.A. in Government and a minor in Law and Society from Cornell University in 2009. While at Cornell, she was a member of the Varsity Women’s Tennis Team.
