Dan McGrew secured a defense verdict for their clients in this medical malpractice action. Plaintiff sustained an injury to his back after flipping over a riding lawn mower, such that it landed on him. While in the hospital following the accident, he experienced numbness and a loss of sensation in his legs and, ultimately, became paralyzed. Plaintiff claimed this was the result of improper treatment, but Dan was able to show that the change in condition was the result of a medical event unrelated to treatment. Plaintiff sought $10 million at trial. However, the jury returned with a defense verdict in just under an hour.
