Wade Copeland Recently Obtained a Defense Verdict in a Medical Malpractice Suit in an Anesthesiology Case.
Plaintiff in the case contended that the defendant/anesthesiologist had failed to reassess the patient following a lumbar epidural spinal injection and therefore failed to see the alleged signs and symptoms of cauda equine syndrome. Plaintiff claimed that she was permanently impaired, unable to ambulate without assistance and disabled from her work as a part time receptionist for a doctor’s office. Plaintiff’s asked the jury to award $6.5 million. After approximately 2 hours, the jury returned a defense verdict in favor of defendants.
