Litigation Attorney – Charleston, SC

Carlock, Copeland & Stair, LLP is seeking associate attorneys with civil litigation experience for the firm’s Charleston office.  Candidates must currently be members of the South Carolina Bar, have their Rule 403 requirements completed, and must have excellent academic credentials.  Candidates should have 2-4 years of experience in civil litigation, outstanding research and writing skills, and the ability to handle complex legal matters. Executive Legal Assistant

The Atlanta Office of Carlock, Copeland & Stair, LLP seeks an Executive Legal Assistant to support Department Chair and member of the Executive Committee, who leads a team of 10 lawyers, in a highly demanding and complex role. Paralegal experience a plus. Tasks will include legal support responsibilities including: matter and file set-up; trial preparation assistance, maintaining calendars and contacts; travel arrangements and expense reports; time entry; client communications; client billing and accounts receivable assistance; and ability to make suggestions to improve upon efficiency of the team. This position will also help assist and support marketing proposals, seminar presentations, business development activities and events as necessary, and facilitate daily case management efforts to assist this active litigation group.  To be successful in this role, you should be proactive, meet deadlines and communicate effectively.  Our ideal candidate would have initiative and function as the extension to the Department Chair.
