Dismissal Obtained in a Professional Negligence Claim against Architectural Firm

Bill Jones obtained dismissal for his architect client in a professional case in Gwinnett County, Georgia. The Plaintiff was a professional who claimed to be seriously injured when a heavy door fell on his leg. Plaintiff asserted a claim for professional negligence against the architectural firm and claims that the firm failed to properly review certain shop drawings. The motion to dismiss was based upon Plaintiff’s failure to comply with Georgia’s expert affidavit requirements. After Bill filed the motion, Plaintiffs dismissed their claims against the architectural firm.
