Classic Car Property Damage

April 13, 2016

Jeff Crudup secured a defense verdict in Charleston County.  Case involved property damage to a classic car.  Our client owns a body shop where the car was brought after an accident for repairs.  While there, it was further damaged by the shop.  We admitted we damaged it, but said we fixed the damage and the damage from the original accident.  Plaintiff asked for $60,000 or more including punitive damages on claims of breach of contract and negligent bailment.  Jury found our client did not breach his contract; was not negligent and Plaintiff suffered no damages.  Well done Jeff and the staff for helping him get the job done!!!!
