Lacey L. Houghton
Associate / Charleston
Lacey is an Associate in the Charleston office of Carlock, Copeland & Stair, who is licensed to practice in all Georgia and South Carolina state and federal courts. She currently litigates a broad range of complex civil litigation cases including: the defense of directors and officers in management liability matters; litigates errors and omissions liability disputes; real estate transaction law with particular experience in development and land use litigation; as well as the defense of professionals in liability matters including accountant, lawyer and medical malpractice claims.
Prior to joining Carlock Copeland, Lacey worked at a well-respected coastal Georgia firm, where she gained substantial appellate experience and served as a Criminal Justice Act Panel Attorney for the United States Distinct Court for the Southern District of Georgia, and was Legal Liason for the United Way of Coastal Georgia. Lacey earned her B.A. in International Affairs from the University of Georgia and her J.D. from the University of Georgia School of Law, cum laude.
