Doug MacKelcan Appointed To Serve On CAI Tri-Counties Regional Advisory Council

We are pleased to announce that attorney Doug MacKelcan has been appointed to serve on the Community Association Institute (CAI) Tri-Counties Regional Advisory Council.

CAI is an international organization dedicated to building better communities by providing information, education and resources to community association stakeholders, including community managers and homeowner leaders. Regional Advisory Councils are comprised of CAI members and are empowered to guide chapter activities in their respective regions.

Doug serves as general counsel and litigation counsel for a number of homeowners’ associations in South Carolina, drafting and revising governing documents, advising their Board of Directors on a broad range of issues facing the non-profit associations, and defending claims and lawsuits against associations. In addition to serving directors and officers of homeowner associations, Doug’s legal practice focuses on the defense of professionals in legal, accounting, health care and real estate malpractice lawsuits. He also represents clients in general business litigation, automobile, trucking, premises liability, personal injury cases, ERISA disability cases and provides insurance coverage opinions.
