Our Construction Litigation group is proud to have represented clients in the construction industry for more than 25 years. This focus on the construction industry has allowed the group to develop the experience needed to provide solid counsel, advice and representation with respect to the many issues that arise from the construction process.
A primary focus of the Construction Litigation group has always been helping construction professionals through the litigation process. Members of the group handle litigation in all of the trial and appellate courts in Georgia and South Carolina. Members of the group have effectively handled virtually every type of construction case ranging from those involving a few thousand dollars to disputes over tens of millions of dollars.
Over the past fifteen years, the group has expanded well beyond the courtroom offering assistance in risk identification and management through all aspects of construction, as well as representation and counsel from project and contract inception through the conclusion of any claims or disputes that arise out of a project. The insight gained from litigating construction related disputes has provided us with the ability to identify for clients the obstacles that can arise through the construction process. We know from experience how to avoid potential claims and handle claims that do arise.
The Construction Practice includes several subgroups, which allow us to provide focused representation for our clients. The largest subgroup represents architects, engineers, surveyors, interior designers, program managers and other design professionals, but there are also subgroups focused on the interests of contractors, subcontractors, owners, developers, insurers, sureties as well as others involved in the construction process.
